Style Guide: Forget The Rules

Hiiiiiii guys! The time has finally arrived! It is time to step outside of my comfort zone and crank out my first style guide blog post. I’m not going to lie this has somehow been a daunting task. Allow me to explain.

Don’t get me wrong this blog has been a big goal of mine for quite sometime. What I’m trying to say is that I think I have allowed my perfectionism handicap to slow my start down. I guess I finally realized it was time to stop being scared and put myself out there. I’m hoping that I can inspire and motivate someone else through my passions, ideas, and words. So here I go….

If you know me you know my true passions in life have always centered around style and traveling. I’m going to start this first post off by giving my opinion on style truly means to me. Style is a very personal form of self expression that is unique to each individual. Your sense of style is your armor that you put on each day to give you the superpowers you need to kick ass and get through the day! Ok that was a bit of my inner child speaking on the matter but, I believe there is something to that. I truly believe that when you look good you feel good and that positive energy can translate into other areas of your life!

What Is Style:

So why not start your day by dressing for success on your terms and not on anyone else’s! I’m not interested in creating this blog to pretend to be a fashion guru on what’s currently trending. I’m creating this blog to tell you that there really are no experts and rules. Except for the ones you make for yourself. Fashion trends come and go, but style is forever my friends. When I discovered and created my own style as an adult I knew I wanted to steer away from ideas of the fast fashion world. It has been important for myself to invest in quality, timeless, and fluid staples.

Finding Your Style:

Your sense of style will evolve with you as you mature and grow as an individual. It’s all apart of your growth process and that is a beautiful thing. I’m pretty certain an outfit that makes me feel beautiful and confident now is much different than an outfit I would have put on five years ago, but that’s ok.

Why Create this Blog:

So to make a long story short this blog is my outlet and your style guide empowerment. I’m here to support you and encourage your style goals while providing inspiration and information in anyway I can. All I have ever wanted is to help others and this seemed like a great place to start. So this is me telling you to stop stressing, be brave, confident, and fearless in wearing whatever the hell you want when you want! I’m planning to post more on style (for both men and women), festival fashion, and maybe some thrift flips! If you liked this post please give it a thumbs up and let me know your thoughts in the comments down below! xoxo

2020 Update:

A year into this blog and so excited to find myself featured on Next Luxury’s blog! Inspiration for both men and women on edgy outfit ideas in 2020. I couldn’t have accomplished this without my photographer Andrew Najjar 📸: @an_photoandvideo. Check out the article from Next Luxury!
