Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! I have returned from Imagine Music Festival and I’m pumped to share some festival fashion inspiration with you all! I wanted to share a look inside my creative process, inspiration sources, and three of the festival fashion outfits I put together for the weekend.

Festival Fashion Inspiration:

Why I Attend Festivals

In addition to getting hype for all of the music, I would say festival fashion is one of the most exciting things to take part of in festival season! It’s an amazing opportunity to express yourself and enjoy being whoever and whatever it is you want to be with zero judgement from anyone. How awesome and freeing does that sound?! Festivals for me are a great opportunity to just let go, dance with friends, and reconnect with myself.

Where To Find Inspo

First off, before deciding on my themes, I like to research the vibe of the festival I will be attending. Next I will research past fashion looks, high fashion, current festival trends, and intertwine the concepts that are truly speaking to me. Perhaps this is a bit of an avante garde approach, but I just like to do what I like based off of a feeling, (Forget The Rules!). Do you know that feeling you get when you look in the mirror after you just got your fresh haircut, makeover, new outfit, or fresh manicure? I just follow that positive feeling and I know I’m staying true to my style and what I will be confident in.

How To Style Outfits

After researching its time to shop around and piece some outfits together. I recommend to shop for one staple piece to build your entire look around. That will help simplify the process and finalize your theme. Most of the time less is more when attending summer festivals. By the same token, you should always be prepared for a sudden weather change. I would suggest packing layering options to incorporate. Comfort is just as important as being stylish! Sunglasses, fans, jewelry, props, a small purse, or a fanny pack are essential pieces to polish off your look!

My 3 Festival Outfits:

OOTD 1 Rezz

Day one OOTD theme was based around one of my favorite DJs, Rezz!!! It was an easy go to look considering I already had the Rezz goggles and just needed to pull pieces around that accessory. Rezz has a very specific look. She is well known for her baseball hat, DJ headphones, and LED goggles. I wanted to recreate that look through my own punk goth interpretation.

OOTD 2 Steampunk Ladies

Day two OOTD theme was based around a special steampunk top hat. I found this hat on a trip to New Orleans earlier this summer. I’ve linked the same hat down below I found on Amazon for you all! I researched up on a lot of steampunk fashion/burner fashion inspo for this edgy look. This hat was the star of the show with built in lights that strobed through the night! Sometimes finding the right accessories can really pull an entire look together.

OOTD 3 Neon Nation

Day three OOTD theme was based on a highlighter theme. I couldn’t resist purchasing this highlighter glow in the dark yellow romper, similar items linked. Pairing this look with my NoPeet shades, Doc Martens, and black belt for a sporty look. Additionally, this look was finished off with my racetrack pattern fan to keep my cool while I boogied with my crew on the last day!

I hope some of these outfits can inspire you and push you to try new things with your festival outfits. Please like, comment some of your favorite music festivals, and subscribe for more posts like this! XOXO
