Gangster Clown

Inspiration:

First and foremost I would like to give credit for the inspiration behind these gangster clown looks to the following influencers: Chrisspy, iluvsarahii, and MakeupShayla. These ladies slay the most amazing Halloween looks and I aspire to be on that level someday. Check out these links to their inspiring tutorials and creative videos.

Costume:

These gangster clown costumes could not have come to life for Halloween without these BooHoo mens flannels! Every gangster clown needs a flannel, bandanas, hoop earrings, and some face paint. I loved styling these Halloween looks knowing these flannels could be used for more than just a costume.

They are so thick and cozy and you can easily style them in Fall through Winter. I love anything oversized and warm this cold season and these flannels are a perfect layering piece.

Makeup:

I have linked all the products below I used for these looks. I did use liquid liner to create the initial outlines and used gel liner and black powder to fill in the majority of these looks. However, I’m sure black face paint would have been easier, but I already had these items on hand. I recommend starting with your usual face makeup base first before illustrating the clown face.

Halloween 2020 was well spent in the desert at Joshua Tree underneath the full blue moon. Amazing energy, vibes, and inspiration from the costumes, face paint, and natures beauty surrounding us.
