Let’s take a moment to rewind to one of the most unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebrations I’ve ever experienced—Lights All Night Music Festival 2019. This was the last big NYE hoorah before the pandemic turned the world upside down, and honestly? It was everything.
What made it even more special was dressing up with my girl group. We decided to stick to theme days, and let me tell you—it was like being a kid again, playing dress-up with your friends. Moments like these aren’t just fun; they’re healing for the soul and a sweet reminder of the joy in being creative together.
FESTIVAL FASHION: ELECTRIC NEON VIBES
For Lights All Night, our day 2 theme was Electric Neon—a perfect fit for the vibrant energy of the festival. It’s a style that screams fun, confidence, and a touch of chaos (in the best way). Here’s what I wore, how I styled it, and some tips if you want to recreate the look for your next event.
The Look
- Neon Lace Bodysuits: These are a festival must. They’re bold, breathable, and easy to layer.
- Cargo Pants: Comfortable and practical while adding an edge to the look. Bonus points for the pockets that held all my essentials.
- Sneakers (Vans FTW): Because who wants to deal with sore feet when you’re dancing all night? Vans added a casual, laid-back vibe to the outfit.
- Accessories: Think chunky silver chains, oversized sunglasses, and neon beanies to bring the outfit to life. Accessories are where you can really go wild and personalize your look.

Why Dress Up as a Group
Coordinating outfits with my friends made the whole experience even better. Not only did it create a sense of unity, but it also sparked so much creativity. We spent weeks planning our looks, sending each other links to bodysuits, pants, and accessories, and laughing at the over-the-top ideas we came up with.
Themes like Electric Neon are so versatile—they can be as low-key or as extra as you want. We kept it pretty sporty and chill with pops of neon, beanies, and casual sneakers.

- Play with Accessories: This is where you can go wild—think hats, sunglasses, chains, and bandanas. The more creative, the better.
- Test Your Outfit: Always do a test run of your outfit to make sure it’s functional. Bend, jump, and dance around at home to avoid wardrobe malfunctions.

That trip to Lights All Night wasn’t just about the music or the fashion—it was about connection. Dressing up, laughing until our sides hurt, and dancing like there was no tomorrow created memories that I’ll treasure forever.
