As someone who loves blending fashion, creativity, and unforgettable experiences, my New Year’s Eve 2019 celebration at Fire in the Sky: Incendia NYE in Atlanta was nothing short of magical. This artistic and immersive event left a lasting impression, and I can confidently say it’s a memory I’ll cherish forever. From the bold outfit choices to the dramatic stage setup (with actual fire overhead!), the night perfectly captured the excitement and creativity of ringing in a new year.
Revamping Disco Kitty: A Stylish Glow-Up
Coming off the high of attending Lights All Night in Dallas just days prior (check out my full blog about that experience here), I decided to rework my iconic Disco Kitty costume for this local Atlanta event. My best friend and I turned it into a whole new vibe, adding colorful wigs and a touch of winter-ready flair. The colder Atlanta evening meant layering up, so we paired our tiny rave-ready outfits with show-stopping white fur light-up jackets from Dolls Kill. These jackets are always a hit during winter raves, and their glowing effect added just the right amount of drama to our looks.
Bringing the Drama with Makeup
For makeup, we leaned into the artistic vibes of Fire in the Sky. Think dramatic, sparkly designs accented with face jewels and diamond pops that reflected the flames dancing above us. It was bold, artistic, and totally fitting for an event that felt like a mix of performance art and party. Whether you’re into subtle shimmer or going all out with face gems, this was the kind of event that inspires you to experiment.
The Incendia Experience: Fire Overhead
The main attraction of the night was undeniably the setup at the main stage. Picture this: you’re dancing under a dome-like structure, surrounded by music and warmth, with literal flames blazing above your head. It’s rare to find an event that blends artistic expression with an immersive environment like this. While I only managed to grab one video, it’s etched in my mind as one of the most incredible stage setups I’ve ever seen. The ambiance, the energy, and the fire—yes, actual fire—created a surreal and unforgettable atmosphere.
Why I’d Go Back in a Heartbeat
While Incendia NYE hasn’t returned to Atlanta (at least not yet), I sincerely hope this event makes a comeback. It perfectly captured the blend of creativity and celebration that makes New Year’s Eve feel so special. If it does return, I’ll be the first to grab tickets. Until then, I’ll keep dreaming of that magical night and channeling that same artistic energy into every celebration I attend.
